Scritta dal compositore americano Irving Gordon nel 1951, la canzone fu premiata con un Grammy® nel 1992 quando Natalie Cole la incluse nel suo album di duetti come tributo al padre scomparso. Ancora oggi è un brano molto amato in tutto il mondo.

Candidata a cinque Grammy®, Sia ha annunciato questa settimana il suo tour dal titolo “Nostalgic for the Present”, che la porterà in 22 città del Nord America. In questa sede ha affermato che eseguirà per la prima volta il brano nel corso della puntata odierna di The Ellen DeGeneres Show, il programma condotto dall’omonima attrice che nella versione originale del film presta la propria voce a Dory, la pesciolina azzurra più amata e smemorata di sempre.

“La storia di Dory mi commuove”, ha dichiarato Sia.
“Quando Ellen me l’ha chiesto, non ho potuto rifiutare!”.

Il regista Andrew Stanton è un fan della cantautrice australiana da molto tempo.
“In Alla Ricerca di Nemo, Robbie Williams aveva rivisitato in modo unico un classico della musica, ‘Beyond the Sea’. Allo stesso modo, Sia ha catturato l’essenza emotiva del classico di Nat King Cole ‘Unforgettable’, riuscendo a farlo suo. I due brani si completano a vicenda proprio come i due film”.

La colonna sonora di Alla Ricerca di Dory, che includerà le tracce orchestrali di Thomas Newman e il suddetto brano, sarà disponibile in Italia a partire dal 17 Giugno 2016 distribuita da Universal Music.

Il film, invece, approderà nelle sale italiane il 14 Settembre dello stesso anno.

Diretto da Rob Marshall e basato sull’omonimo musical di James Lapine e Stephen Sondheim, il film racconta la storia di una coppia che non può avere figli perché maledetta da un incantesimo di una strega cattiva. Nel tentativo di liberarsi dalla maledizione, i due si avventurano in una pericolosa foresta incantata. La loro storia si intreccerà a quella dei personaggi delle fiabe più famose: Cenerentola, Raperonzolo, Cappuccetto Rosso e Jack e il Fagiolo Magico. Il cast, stellare, vanta nomi come Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anne Kendrick, Johnny Depp e Chris Pine. In America uscirà nelle sale a Natale. In Italia, invece, il 2 Aprile.
