Spirit farà parte di un album di canzoni ispirate a Il Re Leone dal titolo The Lion King: The Gift. Sarà prodotto da Beyoncé e conterrà omaggi di artisti famosi a livello globale al film Disney e alle atmosfere africane. Inoltre è confermato che ascolteremo Spirit, la canzone di Nala, anche nel film, pare in una scena molto emozionante. Questo brano va dunque idealmente a sostituire Shadowland, l’assolo di Nala composto per il musical di Broadway.

Infatti, durante l’anteprima del film svoltasi a Milano, le voci italiane di Aladdin e Jasmine si sono esibite in una performance live di Il Mondo è Mio Aladdin, il celebre duetto scritto da Alan Menken e Howard Ashman, premiato con l’Oscar nel 1992. Le voci in questione sono ovviamente quelle di Manuel Meli, doppiatore di Aladdin in questo remake, e della cantante Naomi Rivieccio, interprete della Principessa Jasmine per quanto riguarda il canto.
